On special event days outside caterers provide a variety of refreshments such as Hog Roast, filled jacket potatoes and speciality sausages. Ice creams, soft drinks and home-made cakes are served inside the keep.

  • Snowdrop Sundays 8th, 15th, & 22nd February Open 11am-4pm - Hedingham Castle is pleased to be offering budding photographers a chance to come and capture the snowdrops in all their glory in the beautiful grounds. Prizes are to be awarded for the best three adult photographers and a prize for the best young photographers. Adult Visitors on the day will be welcomed with a warming glass of mulled wine on the garrison floor of the mighty Norman Keep and take a gentle stroll in the stunning grounds. Come and view the many varieties of snowdrops present within the grounds since the 1900s, the snowdrops have been carefully planted over a period of time to ensure that visitors get a full display and are able to see the snowdrops at all stages from budding, in full flower and at seed.

    Admission:

    Adults – £ 4.50 to include a free glass of mulled wine.
    Children- Free
    Entry into the snowdrops photographic competition: £1.00 per photo entry for adults, £1.00 entry for up to 3 photos per young photographer.
